I'm a graphic designer situated in Middelburg. I'm focused, driven and passionate about design and I'm sure I can design something spectacular for you. I know what I want and where I'm going. I'm professional and hard working and strive to provide my client with the best services and designs possible.
My goal is to produce beautiful, moving design that my clients and their clients respond to in a positive way.
I tried my hand at real estate (reception and listings) before getting bitten by the design bug. I never really knew what I wanted to do with my life. I started working as a waitress after school and was offered a job as a receptionist at a real estate agency. I am a creative person and was bored to death. Luckily I was offerd a job at a local signage company. And then the bug bit me. Hard. Very hard.
I now work as a layout artist and advertisement designer for 2 local newspapers and 1 local magazine. I also manage the website for the magazine. I completed 2 Ad-Design Seminars during 2007 and 2008 as well as the Get It Magazine Seminar in 2009. I entered the Ad Design 2009 e-Learning Programme with Michelle Wilson from My Designer where I completed all 4 modules under the top 5 designers. I finished the course in first place with a gold certificate.
I then decided to take a chance and entered the Caxton Excellence Awards 2009 in 2010. The Caxton Excellence awards is a night where all top journalists, designers, photographers, etc are honoured. I wasn't very enthusiastic about it at first, because we compete against top designers from Gauteng, Cape Town and Kwazulu Natal. But it sure was worth the try! I was very surprised when I was announced as highly commended in the "Small sized Newspaper advertisement - Category" and the winner in "Medium sized Magazine advertisement - Category"
I design everything from brochures, to websites, to wedding stationery. I particularly love doing logo and corporate identity design as this gives me the opportunity to design something that will represent my client's company in a way that is eye catching, attracts clients and provides a professional image of the company in the market place.
